Should Men Be More Open About Their Income With Their Wives?

One of the most controversial issues or topics among married couples is money. Counsellors have had to deal with this issue more often than many other problems bothering the peaceful atmosphere around the home. A lot of couples have broken their marital vows on different occasions for this reason, and an end appears not to be in sight. Should men be more open about how much income they earn with their wives? Should a man trust his wife enough to relate openly with her on issue that bothers on how much he earns from work?

As a woman, would you feel your man doesn’t trust you enough if he fails to share information about how much he earns at work? Can such action or decision be taken as a betrayal of trust that you both share?

To what length would you as a woman go to convince or compel your man to open up on what comes in? Do you feel it is a betrayal of marital vows if he doesn’t comply with your desire to know what he earns every month or week? Do you feel such action as grave enough to push you to take drastic decision or step?
