Do You Think Churches Should Do More For The Society?
People go to church because they believe their lives will improve. They also spend hours in churches to honour and worship the Creator of the entire universe; and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. We live in a free society where everyone is free to associate with others.
However, the question I would love to ask is; do you think churches should do more for the society? Are the churches doing enough to alleviate the suffering of their members or people in their immediate neighbourhood? Are churches even doing enough in terms of corporate social responsibilities?
Recently I have seen a couple of churches visit the homeless, the poor, and those ravaged by natural disasters and wars; but are all these enough? Do you really think they could do more or better than they are already doing?
Remember we live in a society where people are hardly able to cater for themselves, and one of the responsibilities of the church is to improve and encourage the conditions those around them. So do you think churches should step up the game and do more to alleviate the suffering of people in the society?
