Are Step Mothers Over Protective Of Their Children?
We all love our mothers and the same can almost be said about the love our mothers have for us. However, haven’t you noticed that most step-mothers are over protective of their children? Do you think they are over protective even at the detriment of the other children most times?
In a home where the man has two wives or a home where the man remarried for a reason or the other, some step-mothers have taken the love they have for their children to the extreme even to the detriment of the other child or children. She wants the best for her child regardless of whose ox is gored. She protects him regardless of what the child has done as long as the other child doesn’t get the upper hand when it comes to certain things.
Don’t you think they are being overprotective? Is this the right thing to do or the right way to bring up a child? Some mothers would even enslave another child in order to make her own child comfortable.
Won’t this have devastating consequences on the relationship that exists between children of the same father, but different mothers? What defines the limit when it comes to protecting one’s child in a situation where the other child is not yours?
