Secrets, secrets and more secrets; that is what most marriages and relationships are built on these days. Most relationships are built on lies and insincerity. The most obvious being the issue of salaries and wages. Couples find it extremely difficult to disclose their exact income. This leads to issues in marriage, with all kinds of accusations flying left, right and centre. Why do couples keep their salaries secret? Is this an indication of distrust?
Do you trust your spouse enough to let him/her know the exact amount you earn? Different strokes for different folks—some guys would rather inflate figures during courtship or when dating a lady in order to mislead her. Some guys on the other hand, would rather declare a much lower figure in order to protect their income. Sure there must be a reason or reasons behind all these acts of dishonesty among couples.
As a guy, how would you react if you found out that your spouse declared a much lower figure than what she actually earns every month as income? Perhaps, there are guys who don’t trust their spouses enough when it comes to money; but is relationship not about trust?
