There are certain beliefs we have held for a long time. These beliefs have held us down for so long that we now seem to think things must always remain the way they are or have been. The society for instance is of the view that women should not necessarily be the ones running after a guy. When a lady tries to woo a guy or make her intentions known, she is regarded as being cheap. This is contrary to what we have in other parts of the world where ladies freely express their feelings to any man they have interest in.
So where did all that emanate from? Is there and age-long tradition to support such beliefs here in Nigeria? What’s wrong in a lady walking up to a man she likes and freely expressing her heat desires?
Guys too are not making things any easier—a lady walks up to you to open up on her feelings towards you, and all you could do is make fun of her when you are with your friends. Only few guys would understand that this is an acceptable way of life in other countries.
So what’s wrong in a lady freely proposing to a guy?
