Do Ladies Still Marry For Love Or To Fulfil “All Righteousness?”

1 Mins read

The most reasonable outcome of any relationship, according to an age-long and popular saying is marriage. Marriage used to be the expected outcome of any relationship that is based on true love. When women marry in those days, it was for love and rarely for any other reason. These days it’s like love has gone on a journey or sabbatical and may never return for a very long time. Guys too are not left out because it is a problem that has affected both sexes. Most people now marry in order to get the monkey off their backs.

So do ladies still marry for love or just to fulfil all righteousness? Could that be one of the reasons most marriages don’t last? Of course the officiating priest expects that couples don’t just walk to the altar because they need to fulfil the scripture, they expect them to know that love is the bases of their union. Hypocrisy is now the order of the day as most ladies would gladly say “I do” when that tall, dark and handsome guy proposes. So what do you make of marriages these days? Are our ladies still marrying for love or simply saying yes because they want to display their guys like a trophy won at a tournament?
