What defines a successful man or woman? Everyone in life aspires to be successful in every endeavour. Success is defined and measured by people in different terms, with some measuring it by how fat their bank accounts are, the number of children they have, the number of flamboyant cars parked somewhere in their garage, the quality of education they have, and many other means. However, there seems to be a slight disagreement about what a successful person is.
Some are of the view that being rich is the hallmark; when you are rich, you have nothing else to worry about. Whiles some are of the view that life doesn’t not consist of the abundance of wealth you have. A professor in an ivory tower may not consider wealth as the standard measurement of a man’s success—he sees his life as having little meaning without achieving great feats in his chosen field.
So how would you describe or define success? Is education without money a reasonable yardstick to measure how successful one is in life? Would you rather possess all the academic qualifications in this world without any material wealth to go with it?
