Let’s look at it from this angle, You have already done a lot of work to get this point, a point where momentum is close or even here and you think this is it. I’m all used up and can’t go further. But you are already sick of that same level of results and want more. The truth remains that to get more you have to do more. To do more in this case might mean just a few steps, a few more hours or just a little more time.
The truth is that most people stop when they are tired thinking they can’t go any longer, but the secret is that the same rate at which you are tired now is the same rate at which you will be after going the extra mile. Being tired is being tired, there really is no such thing as extra tired or dead tired, and those are just psychological states. I discovered this secret on a beautiful morning.
I usually jog down to the school gate in my university days, i wanted to lose weight and it wasn’t happening fast, i really needed to do something. So one day i decided to reach the main expressway which was about a mile away, so the next day i set out, i went past the gate and kept going.
When i was a few hundred meters away i was tired but not the type to give up, so i kept on till i reached the goal. One getting there, i collapsed.
I stood up after a few seconds and realised i was tired but i couldn’t differentiate between yesterday and today’s tiredness. It seemed like it was just the same since then i realized you can only go as far as you push yourself.
