We have been fed with all sorts of tales of woes about how some married women mess up in the NYSC orientation programs. Stories are everywhere about how supposedly married women engage in all kinds of extra marital affairs during the orientation programme. That is not all, some women also find it difficult to concentrate during the duration of the programme because their priorities are placed somewhere else. As they always say; “a man’s heart is always where his treasure is.” Having said all these, should married women be barred from taking part in the NYSC programme?
Despite efforts being put in place by government to ensure that married women are given the choice of getting transfer or posted to the base of their husbands, it appears that some married women are bent on living life to the least during the 3 weeks orientation programmes. Though, some of these are mere fabrication and baseless rumours, the fact that all kinds of related stories keep flying in the media and online every time there is an orientation programme gives most men a lot of concerns. So what should the government to do nip such acts in the bud if at all it exists?
