Power Intoxicates

“When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful,”—Malala Yousafzai.

The reason why powerful men become more powerful and the wicked become even more wicked in their acts is simply because the world prefers to sit on the fence and watch things go wrong. Nothing corrupts a man who has power than the power which he has.

Give a man power, and he will suddenly feel he can trample upon the right of his neighbour. It is the risk of being power drunk that democracy gave room for checks and balances. One voice, according to Malala, can become powerful when people keep and stay silent on injustice. To make the world a better place, stand up and speak against autocracy in government.
