Ladies Can You Marry A Man With Lower Educational Background?
In a society like ours where emphasis is most times placed on your paper qualification and not necessarily what you can offer, is it possible to love and respect a man half as educated as yourself?
For ladies not yet advanced in age, this could be a difficult question to answer considering the fact that they are still very young and are not much in a hurry. However, it is quite a different thing altogether for ladies in their thirties and forties. As a matter of fact, most ladies consider education as a top condition when it comes to choosing ‘Mr. Right.’
Love is now being relegated to the background, and for fairly reasonable reasons too in my opinion. As, we are all aware it’s not just love that is the only basis of marriage, education is also a criteria now as well.
Can a career woman, a legal practitioner for example marry a School Certificate holder? These are Germaine issues that must be addressed in a society that emphasizes material things.
It is a bit different for men though, as I have come across several uneducated ladies who are married to graduates. Most times this academic differences may not seem important from the start of the relationship, but it comes into play as time goes on. When the man or woman starts getting recognition in his social circle, he/she begins to see the flaws in his partner’s spoken English.
She/he begins to pick fault, and grammatical blunders supposedly committed by her partner. He now starts getting irritated by how the man speaks, and writes grammar. In essence, she now sees the man as one not to be identified with in the public.
So speak up or speak out and let us know what you think. Let’s know if you are opposed to the idea of marrying a man less educated than yourself or whether you are in support of it.
