Has The Social Media Caused Us More Harm Than Good?
There was a huge outcry some years ago after the death of a young girl was reported online and in the media. Her death was as a result of the relationship she had with someone she allegedly met on one of the popular social media outfits. Though, the police successfully caught up with the culprits, the deed had already been done.
The story out there doesn’t sound too good, especially as more and more people are reportedly getting scammed or broken-hearted by people through social media sites. However, it is not all that bleak when it comes to the use of social media, as some have actually gone on record to state how much they have benefited from joining some of the very popular ones.
Which brings us to the question of the day: has the social media caused us more harm than good? Is the social media responsible for the high level of crime and other social vices among our youths?
How has the social media influenced your life? Has it influenced your life in a positive way? Would you influence the kind of groups your kids join on social network sites like Facebook, Twitter, and the likes?
