Many marriages have crashed over the last few years due to physical abuses. Some men feel the best way to make a woman bend to their ‘rules’ and way of thinking is by physically assaulting her. While not all men resort to physical assaults, some believe in using all kinds of negative and despicable words on their wives. The truth is, whether physical or verbal, an abuse can never be regarded as a good thing in marriage. It is a terrible thing, and doesn’t portray the man in good light either at home or in the public.
Today, more and more women are leaving their marriages and moving back to either rent an apartment of their own or to their parents’ place. Some of these temporary separations have eventually led to divorce. While divorce gives the woman some form of freedom, especially from the abusive husband, it also leaves the woman with a void to be filled. However, some have argued that physically assaulting a woman is not to be tolerated no matter what, and divorce is the best way out of such marriages.
Is divorce the best solution to constant physical abuses in marriage? Should a woman continue to endure whatever is thrown at her by her husband, hoping that things would change one day?
