In most cases ,when it comes to abusive relationships. You hear people say ,what did you do to your husband for him to beat you up like this. They accuse the lady of being sturbborn and rude to her husband thats why she got beaten up.They encourage the lady to go back and beg the husband.I truly wonder why people advice an abused person to try and work things out in a relationship even when she continues to get pounded every night and day by her husband?
I hear and read about cases that “if I had known I would have told her to walk out.” Or “If I had known she wouldn’t have lost her eye.” The stories are endless and different from one individual to another; but won’t you feel guiltier if something terrible happened to your daughter, sister or friend who had a good history of abuse? What if you found yourself in such a situation; would you walk out or manage the physical and mental abuse because you have kids together or because you are married?
Sometimes, an abused person tells her family members and the parents that the husband is a bully and beats her up often. But even some parents tell the abused person to go and apologise to her husband and do blame her for the reason behind the abuse. Its really a crazy world.
By the time you are through reading the last sentence in this article, someone somewhere might just be in the hospital as a result of battery. Ladies get abused in their homes everyday, and all we hear is “don’t worry because things will get better;” but they never get better in the real sense of it or do they?
