What Reason Can Justify Violence In A Relationship?

Women are regarded as the weaker vessels and do truly deserve all the care and attention needed. However, some of them have been at the receiving end of some violent attacks based on reasons ranging from the minor incidents to  major ones.

However, grave the situation or offence is. Can violence really be justified regardless of what offence the woman may have committed?

Do you think violence in a relationship can be justified no matter what the reason is? I hear and read about issues that bother people especially on physical assault in relationships every day.

According to some men, they feel people are quick to judge and feel a man should always be able to control his temper no matter what the wife does even if being pushed to the extreme. Shouldn’t a man seek alternative means of settling issues with his partner? What if the woman is the abusive one and maybe the man just couldn’t take it anymore?

I hear stories about men not doing anything to even protect themselves when they are being assaulted by their wives at times and even when they do, they still get blamed for protecting themselves.

Likewise, I have heard of some men just beating up women for no reason at all and still try to justify their action by giving a flimsy excuse.

Well I have heard of men too being abused physically sometimes, like constantly getting slaps or into fights with their spouses without lifting a hand to also strike back; though it only happens occasionally.

So what can really get you so angry to the extent of lifting your hands against your partner? Can something even as grave as adultery lead to assault? Must a woman be beaten just so that a man can drive home his point or is it just a case of men trying to show off they are in control ?

What’s your take on this? Can violence in relationship be justified?
