What Makes You Think Your Religion Is Better Than Mine?

What is in a religion that makes it more important or better than the other? Everybody says their religion is the right one. Why is one more correct or better than another? Does your religion make you judge people?

Religion is about personally held beliefs. I feel most people feel strongly about their beliefs so when you disagree with them, they react offensively. Why do people strike at times in the name of religion just to prove their religion is more superior?

All religions are based on faith, regardless what others may argue. It is up to the follower to listen and decide. Why can’t people try and convince one another in a very easy, simple manner but not by condemning or judging one another?

Its really sad that people must feel the need to defend their religious beliefs so strongly. I wish people around the world could be more accepting.

After all, they say we all serve the same God, but if we truly do, why all the killings and death threat? I have my own way of serving and communicating with my God and you have yours, so what makes your own way more superior to mine?

How do you respond when someone asks you the difference between their religion and yours?

Are we not ignorantly killing and hurting one another just to please our egos? Millions of people die every day, and yet there are no signs these killings and wanton destruction of lives and properties will abate; yet all to prove our religion is more superior and deserves to be the dominant one.

Religion is all about peace, love, and tolerance; at least that is what we have been told. However, what we see is far from what is being preached and relayed in the media. What is your take on religion? Will the blood of millions of innocent souls that have died through religious crisis justify our beliefs?

I have heard people criticize one religion because they differ in views, but what is the basis for those criticisms?

Don’t you agree that what we should be asking is if our religion inspires us to help ourselves and also to help others? Does it make us happier and better people in touching lives?

What is your honest opinion?
