The subtle act of playing mugu

For the sake of in depth understanding; the world mugu is a Nigerian slang for fool. In other words, the topic is The Subtle Act Of Playing The Fool.

Pride And Ego

“Do all living human beings have pride and ego?”

The answer is, with no doubt, yes. Without both, most of the mightiest accomplishments on earth wouldn’t have been. You have it, I have it. But there’s too much of it, which would make one think of nobody else but himself, people like that could be considered narcissists.

If you look at the mirror and say to yourself, “I don’t have pride, I don’t have ego,” you’re equally saying to yourself, “I don’t have choices, I don’t have a NO, I have no rejections to anything, I have no self-respect, no esteem, not control over my mind’s typical desire, no vision, I am a robot”.

But of course, you’re not a robot, you’re not a fool, you have choices, there are needs in your heart, there are wants too.

Ego, is natural, you’re born with it, you don’t need to think it’s a crime to accept the fact that you own one in your emotions.

It is like anger, it is there, some of us have control over it when it is triggered, others don’t.

It is also like sexual desire, some people can’t help it, some can — those who can’t can be rapists, promiscuous, sex maniacs of any kind. But those who can are considered descent, chaste, moral.

Again, it’s like your hair, it must grow, but you must find a way to make it look good.

So, I know you agree with me now, that you have pride and ego inside of you. It is what makes you make sense to yourself sometimes. It is not bad that you have it, it is purely natural.

It is your own ego that detects ego in other people, because another man’s ego will not hurt your feelings like a lover would, but your ego.

Having to play the fool, the best things to put under control is your pride and ego. The best way to learn more is to show your master that you don’t know.

Having a master, a leader, a mentor, a boss whose ego and pride fumes the atmosphere when ever they’re around require you to play the fool almost all the time. You must allow a boss who always wants to step on your toes to step on your toes. It’s no big deal. After all you still have your toes. So long you need something, play the MUGU.

Playing a fool might also make you obey the Jet Li rule:

“Sometimes, I just agree with people, so they can stop talking.”

There are a lot of us whose pride can only be triggered by power, and material things, that is why 80% of the bosses I’ve worked with are known for pride, they are not the type of people who wants to hear you err your view unless they need help.

“Better your enemies overestimate your stupidity than your shrewdness.” –The Mafia Manager

Many people won’t take it, a lot of people rather stay clear, this is why the only objective to stick to this toxicity is to make sure at the end of the day, there’s something to show for it, there’s a token for the toxicity you endured. Smile when you’re aught to get angry, agree when others may disagree, but make sure it is all for an accomplishment.

Playing the fool in a nut shell doesn’t make you the fool, it is a deceptive act to fool who ever is completely deceived by your deception. Who’s then the fool? You? I don’t think so.
