Happiness is one of the very basic foundations of a true and successful marriage. If you have lost it, then the very basis of the home starts deteriorating, and things could start heading for the rocks. Some ladies head into marriage hoping that things would turn for the better, while some simply face reality and move on until they find that special person that can guarantee them what they truly want in a home. Tribalism, which is one of the biggest challenges we face in Nigeria, is the reason why most people have not been able to marry the person of their dream.

As a lady or a man, can you sacrifice your happiness and comfort on the altar of tribalism? Can you ignore what you have been told and taught about how bad someone from a particular tribe is, and go ahead with your marriage? Is tribalism worth holding on to when true happiness and love are involved? How would you handle the pressure from friends, uncles, parents, aunts, and other relations when it comes to getting married to someone not from your own tribe? How far are you willing to hold on to what you believe?
