Should Age Be A Big Factor In Marriage?

We have heard so many times how people say age is nothing but a number, but why is it always a big issue when it comes to marriage? I mean should age be a big factor in marriage? Should people attach so much importance to age before saying “I do” to a marriage proposal?

Actually some men would say “I can never marry a woman older than me.” What if such a woman is the one that brings you peace and happiness? Would you abandon the one you love when you suddenly find out she is older than you? Is it right to marry a woman twice your age or who is older than you? Will such a marriage bring the much desired peace and happiness?

Is age truly just a number or a thing of the heart? What should come first in marriage; love or your partner’s age? As a matter of fact, it is easier for most of us to say we would marry anyone regardless of age; but societal pressure could change all that when the chips are down.
