Is It Right For Parents To Leave Academic Duties In The Hands Of Teachers Alone?

Teachers are great people—they are the moulders of tomorrow’s leaders, and so should be accorded due honour and respect. The world should not only see that they give teachers their due benevolence here on earth, but should also assist then in bringing up the leaders of tomorrow. Teachers should not only be celebrated once in a year like we are doing today, they should be celebrated every day of their lives.

Is it then right for parents or the society to leave all academic duties in the hands of teachers? Should parents be mandated to take up more academic responsibilities? How involved are you in the academic upbringing of your child? Do regularly evaluate the academic progress of your child?

Are you the type of parents who only cares about paying your child’s school fees, while leaving the rest of the training to the teacher? How much do you know about your child’s progress and performance in school? Don’t you feel you can add more values to the life of your child by lending a helping hand to the teacher?
