Is It Right For A Woman To Abdicate All Domestic Responsibilities To A Maid?

It is not wrong to have a maid who can run around and carry out certain domestic responsibilities at home. This is perfectly normal when you have a job that keeps you away from home for the better part of the day. Nonetheless, shouldn’t there be a limit to the kind of responsibilities a maid should be allowed to handle at home? Is it right for a woman to abdicate all domestic responsibilities to a maid?

When I mean all domestic responsibilities, I am actually talking about duties like bathing the children, taking them and bringing them from school, cooking for the bread winner of the family, and several other domestic chores. What this also means is that the woman only wakes up from bed in the morning, takes her bath, goes to work, returns from work, eats, and then goes back to bed. She repeats this same process every day without caring much about the wellbeing of the children. In other words, the domestic staff virtually takes over everything at home while the woman concentrates on her career.

Is this the right step to go? Does it indicate that something is wrong somewhere and needs to be corrected?
