How Can One Deal With Sexual Harassment?
Sexual harassment is a common issue in several countries, and a lot of people have been victims on several occasions. Which brings us to the question; “how do you deal with sexual harassment especially in your work place? Have you ever been sexually harassed?
The truth is that sexual harassment is not peculiar to ladies alone as guys too have been reported to suffer from this problem as well.
Though, this is more common among ladies, there have been few reports of men being harassed. So if you are a guy, how have you been able to deal with the problem?
How do you know when someone of the opposite sex is sexually intimidating or harassing you? How do you react to it? Do you simply tell the person of to put an end to it? Or do you try and sweep it under the carpet, hoping it will go away?
Who do you report to in the work place? Would you also tell your spouse about it if someone was harassing you at work?
It’s amazing sometimes when ladies complain about such acts and find it hard to put a stop to it because the boss might end up making their lives miserable afterwards.
How can one proof that he or she is being sexually harassed by the opposite sex? I don’t know if someone has been arrested or sued for such an offence in Nigeria once; but lawyers reading this can help us out by explaining the legal ways around it.
