“Good character is not formed in a week or a month. It is created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good character,”—Heraclitus.
Good character takes time to form; it could take months or years; but surely not overnight. One of the reasons why we are always being told to train our children when they are young is because they form their character as they develop.
Good and lasting character is created little by little, day by day, and by learning a little here today and a little there tomorrow. Patient is one of the biggest ingredients you need to develop good character; and it is important to not lose it in the course of your pilgrimage.
