Falling in love

Have you ever wondered why we deeply love someone, give our all, tailor ourselves to fit whatever that person wants. We do what we might never had done if it wasn’t love. We become fools, we no longer think logical, everything becomes supernatural for us, we just want to be with that person; but at the end of the day, the affection is not reciprocated?

I’m sure you might have.

I am going to point out the three major love encounters. These three major love encounters are very common with “falling in love”. As a matter of fact, if it’s not like this then it’s just infatuation or admiration, probably greed. Let’s look at the most common love encounters:

People fall in love with players: This case is quite unsettling; falling in love with a promiscuous partner brings you to your knees, and rub you of your career and even your relationship with others.

The most crazy thing about this is The Holding On Effect; one would always want to hold on. We hope that someday, they will see the love and appreciate us; but I don’t know if you’ve seen any case that turned out that way.

Falling in love with someone in love with someone else is also a hell to go through when love hits.

Knowing that someone you love is thinking of someone else feels more like a physical pain than scientists described.

Then there’s the one that seem like that’s hope: falling in love with someone who plainly doesn’t love you. There’s no promiscuity, there’s no other love, it is plainly not reciprocated.

Inasmuch as this has been on since the beginning of time, you may have wondered if there’s a solution for this.

Hopefully, after I have read a few living stories on love, articles and psychological discovering, I have come to a middle ground that I will share with you in a bit.

Getting into failed love sometimes is a lesson to treat other people (new love) right. The hurt in your heart may take long, but once you realise that you’re meant to give more love than you should receive, then you’ll settle for the one who loves you so much.

Falling in love with a toxic person will ruin your life. Of course I understand how hard it is to be logical when in love, but I also know how feasible it is to let go when you probably think you should stay where you die every single day.

Someone loves you so much you can’t love them back? And you have nothing against them? Why don’t you let the abundance of the love they shower on you be the garden with which a new love is nurtured inside of you for them?

I know you feel like I don’t understand these feelings, I do. I have been there, with my heart out in my hands, but what you must accept is that love is intoxicating and addictive; and addictions with negative effect must be left alone.

Think of it as a negative addiction that you must do away with so you can get your life in shape, so you can have a better story to tell instead of the story of a drug (love) that eventually made your life miserable.

Think of it as a foolhardy. You don’t want to do things that will fulfill a part of you and destroy a large potion of you.

“The love you feel is true” no doubt, but a healthy “relationship” is better than a harmful “true love”.

Before you can treat others well, you must learn to treat yourself well. Know the good thing that is good for you, and the good thing that is bad for you.

Love, but make sure you’re happy, it is most important.
