As Nigerians, we do not deny the fact that we are faced with some of the biggest problems ever. Fighting corruption and insecurity, as well as a dwindling economy can be likened to waging war against the rest of the world. The country is under siege, with billions of Naira being stolen every other day, and insecurity eating up the north-eastern part of the country. The southern part of the country is clamouring for those who have stolen the country’s wealth to be brought to book, while those in the north are calling for improved security as a result of Boko Haram. What then should be the government’s priority?
Corruption, insecurity: which one is Nigeria’s biggest problem? Can Nigeria tackle both challenges headlong without getting drowned in the warfront? Should one be sacrificed for the other? If you were the president of this great country, which of the two problems would you have tackled or given top priority to? Do you think we can confidently beat out chest that the war against the two scourges can be overcome?
How would you have dealt with any of the two problems if you were the president of Nigeria?
