You know the old saying: “till death do us part?” Well the truth is that these days not everyone keeps to that anymore. Not everyone who swears to that oath faithfully keeps to that. The usual thing these days is to have people break the oath under flimsy excuses. Men and women no longer allow themselves to remain under that sacred oath sworn to on the day of their wedding. So the blame-trading game has begun—men and women trade accusations. The question is; who is at fault in terms of breaking the scared marriage oath?
Are women more faithful to their marriage oath than men? Why do we have more people abandoning their marriage oath these days?
Some men have argued that women don’t want to stay faithful to their oath because they find it “too difficult to stay under the authority of their husbands.” Simply put, women would rather stay single and raise their kids than being subjected to what they termed “disrespectful treatment” by men.
Women on the other hand blame men for all manners of abuses in marriage—they believe that marriage does not have to come with pain and all manners of physical and verbal assaults from their partners.
So who is more faithful in marriages today?
