Are Children The Basis Of A Lasting Marriage?
Is it ideal to base the length or duration of any marriage on the woman’s ability to bear a child? Would you chase your woman out of the house or file for divorce if your wife is unable to bear a child?
In reality, it is one issue that has bedevilled a lot of homes, with some men electing to either take a second wife for the sake of having a child or completely sending their women packing because years of marriage have failed to bear fruit.
Should the success of a marriage be based on a woman’s ability to bear a child? Some women too have lost their places in most homes because they couldn’t bear to have male children. Is it ideal to attach one’s desire to remain in marriage to a woman’s ability to have a child?
Of course, most marriages should be founded on the basis of for better or worse; but how much can a man endure when he is unable to have a child of his own?
Will you also blame a woman for moving out of her house because the husband is not capable of impregnating her ?Likewise would you blame a man from sending his wive packing if the woman can’t bear him a child ?
Sometimes a woman’s inability to bear a child may not be down to her weakness; but do you agree that she is always at the receiving end of any delay as a result of child bearing ?
So are children the basis of a lasting marriage?
