Love in marriage is defined in so many different terms these days, with some people redefining it differently from what we have always known it to be in the past. While some men don’t see any harm in helping their partners with certain domestic duties like doing the dishes and keeping the home tidy; some men see this as a sign of weakness on the part of the man. So this often leads to heated debate between two opposing views. This brings us to the question of the day: is helping your wife with house chores a sign of weakness?
Recently I stumbled upon a short message sent in by a member of a forum asking for clarity on what is actually going on with his brother who has been helping his wife with some domestic activities. In the message, the writer accused his brother’s wife of using him by sending him a few errands around the home. So we want to find out if helping your partner do the dishes, prepare the dinner when your wife is stuck somewhere in the Lagos traffic, and others, as a sign of weakness on your part. Does such act of “love” make you less a man to your wife?
