While a lot of people agree that two people in love shouldn’t keep secrets from each other; they however, disagree with the view of those who think partners in love should come clean about their past relationships. In other words, some people believe that there should be no secrets between two people who genuinely love each other. So should couples open up on everything about their past relationships?
Can you divulge all your past deeds or actions with your ex to your new lover? Does such action prolong the life of your current relationship? Does such action make for a healthy relationship and allow your partner to trust you? How much do you trust your partner to let him or her into what transpired between you and your ex in the past? Would you feel comfortable letting your partner in to your dirty secrets?
If you feel odd about letting the cats out of the bag at least for once; what if he or she finds out from a third party and feels bad about it? Would you be able to defend your actions? If he or she finds out about some of the things you did in the past; would you defend yourself by insisting that it happened in the past?
