Is It Obligatory To Remain In Marriage Despite Loss Of Feelings Towards Your Partner?

This might sound a bit controversial and might even raise emotions to an uncertain uncontrollable level, but it is an issue that cannot be left unattended to. Marriages for many years have been described by various institutions as a life-long commitment ‘regardless’ of feelings and other issues that may arise during the process or course. The question is, is it obligatory to remain in marriage despite loss of feelings towards your partner?

Sometimes feelings could be temporary and may or may not last depending on the individual; but what if the feelings you once had towards your partner disappears and refuse to return? What if you woke up to discover that you no longer feel the same way you felt when you first exchanged marital vows? Would you stay on because you consider it an obligation to remain in such a marriage? If marriage is all about love, fun, and happiness, would you remain in it despite losing those basic things that brought both of you together in the first place?
