Sometimes I Wonder Who My Real Father Is
Daddy ,I truly hope someone somewhere out there who knows you will come across this story of mine, I do hope and pray that you will come across this story or hear about it and will understand how badly you have treated me. How I always wonder if you were my true father?
I want you all to know that my dad did a lot of things that question my belief in him. How can I not doubt a father who snaps at me at every opportunity? What is wrong with calling me aside and pointing my mistakes to me dad? What baffles me the most is that you never do this to any of my brothers. To you, I have never been right, and it is impossible to make it in life.
I noticed your cruelty towards me right from my nursery school days when you never attended a single PTA meeting, but you never missed those of my brothers. Is it a crime to be a female? Is there something you and mum are keeping away from me? Didn’t you plan to bring me into this world in the first place? It is such a shame that I have a father that I cannot even approach to solve my homework for me.
Now, I just had to write this to get it off my chest and for people to share my pain I can’t even dare to remind you of your responsibilities toward me since it is a taboo in your presence.
When I even come first above all my other classmates in school examinations, you are never there to celebrate with me. It is all about my precious mother. Yet I prefer to tell my friends who are fatherless how much I am happy that I have a father, but it hurts because inside of me is a deep pain. My friends wonder why I never talk much about you, but I just try to hold back my tears because I am not even sure what you are to me.
If you hated me this much, I wonder why you never gave me up for adoption. Why didn’t you give me up for adoption? Did my mum object to it? I really hope and pray that someone or one of your friends or colleague will read this because I will surely include all my contact details . You have brought me up with so much hatred, but I will try not to pass it on to my kids.
To my mum, you didn’t do much to plead and fight my course. I am your only daughter, and I thought that should have been enough motivation for you, but it never was.
Thank for blogs like this, I have been able to open up and I feel like a huge burden has been lifted off my chest; and even if the pain still lies somewhere within my heart, I feel much better.
