“Two persons cannot long be friends if they cannot forgive each other’s little failings,”—Jean de la Bruyere.

If you love him and if he is your friend, then you have to forgive him as many times as he wrongs you. He who is without a spot on his lining is one who does nothing but wear a white robe and allows none to come near him so he won’t be stained.

You can only remain blameless when you stay away from people and don’t make friends. Friendship consists of offending each other, asking for forgiveness thereafter, and forgiving each other. Forgiveness as a matter of fact, is a gift we owe each other. Don’t hold on to it when someone offends you, hand him forgiveness if he asks for it because someday too are going to need it back.
