EFCC arraigns suspected payroll fraudsters in Abuja
If you think the issue of ghost workers in civil service is a thing of the past, think again.
The Economic and financial Commission arraigned some suspected payroll fraudsters before a federal high court sitting in Abuja today. They were alleged to have conspired to collect ghost workers’ salaries and entitlements from different ministries.
This is a perfect example of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop. This is one of the challenges government face in payment of salaries and benefits to befitting parties. Even though we like to blame the government for everything, we should start looking to ourselves as well as the cause for most, if not all of our sufferings. I wonder why they are hiding their faces now? If you do the crime, you must do the time.
